Austin Healey to host BBPA Annual Dinner and Awards

Austin Healey, former England and British & Irish Lions star, has been announced as the co-host for this year’s BBPA Annual Dinner and Awards, an event sponsored by Sky.

TV host Mark Durden-Smith, who currently presents ITV’s coverage of Aviva Premiership Rugby, will join Healey, who in his career won two European Cups with Leicester Tigers and earned 51 caps for his country.

At the Annual Dinner, which takes place in the midst of the 2015 Rugby World Cup at the five-star Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, on Wednesday 14 October 2015, Healey will draw upon his experience to talk to guests about creating a winning culture and establishing a flexible framework that designates roles to those who need them, but liberates those who don’t.

The Annual Dinner and Awards will follow the very first Pub Goers Conference, which will be hosted by Pub & Bar in association with the BBPA and Cardinal Research. The Conference, which also takes place at the Royal Garden Hotel, runs between 10am and 4pm, and will deliver a series of guest speaker presentations, panel discussions and Q&As about the pub-going (and non pub-going) consumer.

After the Pub Goers Conference, the evening will then bring together business leaders in the brewing and pub sector, key industry stakeholders, as well as parliamentarians. Through teaming up for this year’s event, the BBPA and Pub & Bar magazine aim to bring to the industry an evening that rightly celebrates and recognises the outstanding achievements gained by key individuals and organisations within the market.
