March

FoodEx 2019, Tokyo

Makuharimesse, Tokyo – Foodex 2019, from 5-8th March, is the largest trade event in Japan for the food and drink sector, attracting over 82,000 visitors in retail, food service, wholesale and manufacturing at the last edition. PS8 are the UK Group stand organisers, working in partnership with the Food and Drink Exporter’s Association (FDEA) and Department for International Trade (DIT).

DIT grants of up to £2,000 are available to eligible SME’s, with priority being given to first time exhibitors.

UK pavilion stand package options include:

POD’s – aimed at first time exhibitors cost £3,760; or, Individual stands of 9sqm or larger (in increments of 3sqm) available at £752 per square metre.

Stand bookings need to be confirmed by end September.

Tutto Food 2019, Milan

The biennial Milan show, Tutto Food, will take place from 6-9th May, 2019, at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition hall. For more information about the show, the market, and the cost, please see the document below:

Hofex, Hong Kong

From the 7th-10th May, Hong Kong will be hosting the HOFEX show. The event is seen by 45,000 vistors from 86 countries and includes 15 exhibition halls. For more information on the event itself, including participation fees, please contact Karen Beston (karenbeston@ps-8.com).

SIAL China, Shanghai

SIAL China returns from 14-16 May. The event features over 112,000 food and drink professionals from top countries like China, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. It will also include separate events, such as the Hosted Buyer Programme, Conference and Retail & Hospitality Forum, and SIAL Innovation Awards. Individual stands from 9sqm start at £569 per sqm, and there is a compulsory registration fee of £440. For more information on the event itself, including participation fees, please contact Karen Beston (karenbeston@ps-8.com).

Ales and Beer Directory – DIT Europe

DIT are now taking applications until the end of May for a Europe-wide Ales and Beer Directory. The GREAT Food and Drink Export Directories for Europe is designed DIT Switzerland in collaboration with DIT Food and Drink Trade Officers in 30 countries across Europe. For £220 (excl. VAT) UK suppliers of ales and beers have the opportunity to have a place on the directory which will be distributed to known and relevant buyers of Ales and Beer across the DIT network of European buyers/distributers and importers.

It would give UK suppliers exposure with all known and relevant buyers in the following countries:

Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Israel, Italy, Portugal.

 This offer works out at around £7 per country for each trade officer in Europe to source and contact relevant buyers and send each directory.

Craft Beer China Expo, Shanghai

This year’s Craft Beer China Expo will take place from 16th to 18th May 2018. It aims to showcase beer from around the world and allow beer professionals to network and discuss the latest trends of the craft brewing industry. The agenda for the event can be found here.

This year’s Food and Hotel India show will be held from 5th to 7th September 2018 at the Sahara Star hotel, Mumbai.

The NBWA Annual Convention, San Diego

The National Beverage Wholesalers Association (NBWA) Annual Convention will be hosted in San Diego from 23rd to 26th September 2018. It provides opportunities for networking as well as educational programmes for the beer industry. There is also an opportunity to receive TAP funding.

Best of British, Shanghai

The Best of British event will be hosted at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 18th to 21st October 2018. It aims to showcase the best of British quality, innovation and excellence, including British food and drink.

BrauBeviale, Nuremberg Germany

BrauBeviale returns to Nuremberg on November 13-15th. Details can be found on their website here: https://www.braubeviale.de/en.

Food and Hotel China (FHC), Shanghai

The FHC Shanghai will return this year from November 13th-15th.
